ALVUM Intolerances is a 7-week program that helps you detect if you suffer from food intolerances or allergy.

Food allergies and food intolerances are sometimes confused. Food allergies have to do with the immune system and can be fatal. Intolerances occur when our bodies have problems digesting certain foods. If we have an intolerance we may feel bad after eating certain foods and even have intestinal disorders, but it is not a life and death situation.

Food intolerances can have different causes. For example, they may be due to the absence of an enzyme necessary to fully digest a food, as is the case of lactose intolerance . Other possible causes are irritable bowel or irritable bowel syndrome , sensitivity to preservatives and food additives, or recurrent stress.

At home you will receive a welcome pack with everything you need to carry out the pH test (gloves, toilet paper, spatula, small pot and strips for pH analysis). You will also have access to a series of resources such as the first week's shopping list, the symptoms calendar, the recipe book and tips to carry out the exclusion diet.

When buying ALVUM Intolerances you will receive a pH analysis kit that you can perform at home after a week of exclusion diet. To do the test you will have to evacuate on a paper that fits the edges of the cup and collect a tiny sample of your stool using a small spatula. Next, you will dissolve the sample in distilled water and immerse in it a strip of specific paper. The resulting number will tell us if your problems may be due to food intolerance.
